All of the fiber-applied resins in Boytek's product range are also available in LED light-cured versions as an alternative. In principle, LED curing can be defined as the curing of the resin containing the photoinitiator in seconds under LED light of a certain wavelength. In this way, production rates can be increased and there is no need to use peroxides, which are in the dangerous substance class. Since curing under LED light will start on the surface, styrene emissions also fall well below standard applications. This system can be adapted to many application methods such as hand lay-up, fiber sputtering, filament winding, but the resin must not contain fillers or pigments.
