About Us

Lig Sport, established in the 1980s by Metin Türel, Necmi Tanyolaç, İslam Çupi, and Tamer Güney, initially focused on producing tracksuits and jerseys at İ.M.Ç. 5th Block with the financial and moral support of Erdoğan Şenay. The founders, driven by a passion for football footwear, collaborated with Turhan, the master of Dinyakoz from Karagümrük, in a research-driven effort. This period marked the absence of foreign brands in Turkey, with leather-nailed cleats becoming obsolete, making way for plastic-soled and imitation-branded football shoes prone to breakage and quick wear.
